The Algonquin Theatre has a large group of wonderful volunteers that help to make each event at the Algonquin Theatre a success.
Algonquin Theatre Rentals Include the following:
- Eight Consecutive Hours (including load in and load out)
- Dressing Rooms
- Use of Lobbies and Outdoor Terrace
- Ushers
- Ticket Taker
- Concession and Bar Staff

Rental Rates – Algonquin Theatre
Local Non-Profit
For rental of the theatre, there is a *$330.00 rental fee PLUS ticket fees.
For tickets priced $20.00 and under, the fee is $1.50/ticket sold. For $20.01 and over, the charge is $2.00/ticket sold.
Non-Local Non-Profit
Non-local non-profit groups will be charged a *$370.00 rental fee plus ticket fees. For tickets priced $20.00 and under, the fee is $1.50/ticket sold. For $20.01 and over, the charge is $2.00/ticket sold.
* A non-refundable $100.00 deposit is due with a signed contract.
Commercial
There is an * $1000.00 rental fee or 11 per cent of gross ticket sales (whichever is greater). There are no discounts for consecutive bookings of the same event.

Additional theatre charges not included in the base price:
The light and sound technician (required if light and sound will be used) costs $27.00/hour for eight hours. For shows over eight hours, the fee rises to $30.00/hour. If a second technician is required, the cost is $22.00/hour. Advertising, FOH management, CIF are all additional costs.
For theatre rental over eight hours, the rental price is $50.00/hour.
At the box office, there is a $60.00 event set-up fee per event. For ticketed events, the ticket printing fee is $.20/ticket. Events must carry liability insurance. Insurance is available for purchase from the theatre. Renters are responsible for their own SOCAN fees.
